Fathers don’t always get the spotlight, but they’re often the quiet heroes holding the family together, working hard, making sacrifices, and showing love in the simplest of ways.

One recent post that caught the attention of many Malaysians showed exactly that. A delivery rider had just pulled up at the air pump area of a petrol station, with three young kids in tow. At first glance, people might’ve assumed he was just there to pump his tyres or take a quick break.

But what unfolded was something far more touching, instead of attending to his motorbike, the rider was changing one of his child’s diapers, right there at the station.

The rider declined the help because he didn’t want to trouble anyone

The moment was noticed by a netizen named as “dila dila”, and later shared the experience through Instagram via @jentikhatitv. Watching the scene happening in front of dila dila, she wanted to help the man.

Dila dila approached the man and kindly offered the backseat of her car to make things more comfortable for him and the baby. But the rider gently declined, thanking her and explaining that he didn’t want to inconvenience anyone.

A heartbreaking story of the responsible father

As the post gained traction, more information about the rider surfaced in the comment section. A user shared that she once knew the couple personally when they rented a room in Setapak.

“He had only one son at the time. He and his wife were kind people. He even lent my child a bag. His wife is hardworking, and he once had a bad accident which left one side of his body affected,” she wrote.
“Please don’t judge him, they’re just trying to earn a halal living.”

Many netizens express their compassion for the father, hopes that he and his family would have a brighter, more stable future.
