A short TikTok video has gone viral after capturing a touching moment, showing a kind woman helping an elderly man who tearfully said he was hungry.

A silent cry for help answered with woman’s warmth and a meal

According to Nareesha, the incident happened in front of KFC Satok, Kuching, Sarawak. She was passing by and spotted an elderly man sitting along on the sidewalk. He looked at her as giving some signals for helping.

Sensing something wasn’t right, she approached him and asked if he was okay. With tearful eyes, elderly man said, “Pakcik lapar, mok makan” (Uncle’s hungry, wants to eat) and started crying.

Those few words left Nareesha frozen on the spot. She used the softest voice asking uncle what he wanted, and he replied he just wanted some chicken.

Without any hesitation, Nareesha decided to buy him a meal at a nearby KFC. As he received food from her, the uncle couldn’t help but tear up.

Nareesha’s quiet act of kindness

Nareesha said that although she did not have a lot to give, she was still grateful that she was ableto help those in need as much as she can.

After the video was posted, some people reached out hoping to offer more help to the uncle. Others also praised the action of Nareesha, caling it a beautiful example of empathy.
