Her 12-year-old son named Raziq is an autistic boy who discovered his love for chess around September 2025. What started almost by accident soon grew into a genuine interest, with the boy showing clear determination to improve. As a roadside vendor with no background in chess, his mother began looking for ways to support his learning.

Instead of expensive classes or formal training, she came up with a simple yet heartfelt solution. She set up a chess table right at her roadside stall, so Raziq can spend his time challenging anyone willing to sit down and play.

More than just a game

To teach her son the value of the game, a little stake is added, with Raziq paying for all his losses from his own personal savings.

Raziq’s whiteboard states, “Beat me twice and win RM2“.

According to his mum, it is not about winning or losing, but about learning discipline, resilience, and the value of effort.

Therefore, she is calling on the public including casual players, enthusiasts, even rated players to drop by and give her son a match. Every opponent brings a new lesson, a new strategy, and a new opportunity for Raziq to hone his skills in chess.
