The customer, who shared the story online, said she almost cried when she saw the rider arriving at her doorstep.

He arrived limping after a rainy afternoon

After the rain has stopped, she ordered Taiwanese mee sua that her child had been asking for.

When the delivery arrived, she walked out to collect the food, but froze when she saw the rider was limping.

Concerned, she immediately asked:

“Bang, what happened to your leg?”

The rider calmly replied:

“I had an accident this afternoon.”

He was injured, but still delivering food

The woman was shocked and asked why he continued delivering orders instead of going to the doctor.

The rider told her he was hit by a car at a junction during heavy rain earlier that day. His leg was painful, but he still continued working.

She then asked if his wife was worried about him.

After a short silence, he replied:

“I’m divorced.”

When she asked if he had children, he said:

“Yes.”

Then he added:

“That’s why I can’t rest.”

Those few words stayed with her.

Sometimes, people are not strong because they don’t feel pain. They are strong because they have no choice but to continue. Behind every delivery, there may be someone carrying the responsibility of a family, someone who knows that if they stop working, their loved ones may struggle too.

More than just a food delivery

The customer said people often see delivery riders as simply bringing food to their homes. But that day, what arrived at her doorstep was more than just a meal.

It was a father pushing through pain, trying to complete his work to provide for his child.

She quietly gave him a little extra tip, hoping it would remind him:

“You are doing your best, thank you for making sure our dinner arrived safely.”

A little act of kindness can mean a lot

She also reminded others to show more patience and kindness towards delivery workers because we never know what the person standing in front of us has gone through.
