A Malaysian woman has lodged a police report after allegedly receiving abusive and threatening messages from a stranger simply because she was feeding stray dogs outside a temple.
According to the woman, she received a Facebook message at around 11.20pm on September 19 while she was at home. The sender allegedly attached a photo of her feeding stray dogs outside a temple in Pekan Lama and sent her insulting messages, including a threat of sexual violence.
The woman said she had no idea who the person was or why they targeted her.

She explained that she regularly feeds stray dogs outside the temple and had previously uploaded photos of herself doing so on her personal Facebook account. She believes the stranger obtained one of those photos before using it to send her the threatening messages.
Concerned that the messages could pose a threat to her personal safety, she decided to lodge a police report.
Her family has also spoken out on social media, saying she was simply trying to help stray animals when she became the target of online harassment and threats.
They said the matter has already been reported to police, but claimed the person continued sending messages despite the report.
