Radin, who lives with cerebral palsy, is working hard to support himself by selling cookies and kerepek. He is now appealing to the public to support his small business as he tries to cover his daily expenses, including RM550 in house rent for November.

Cerebral palsy is a lifelong neurological condition that can affect movement, balance and muscle coordination. Radin’s journey has been far from easy, having grown up without knowing his biological parents.
“I’m an orphan. Both my parents died, that’s what I heard. A babysitter took care of me when I was an infant, though I don’t know who she was or how she found me,” he shared.
Learning to live independently
At the age of 14, Radin was sent to a disability centre in Penang, where he learnt to live independently. After completing Form Five, he returned to Kuala Lumpur, retook his SPM examinations and went on to work in administration, customer service and as a receptionist.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought the country to a standstill, affecting his career and leaving him without work.
“I was thinking, what should I do since I don’t have work? I decided to Google where to find halal snack suppliers,” he recalled. That search eventually led him to Daniel Beeskut, opening the door to a new way of earning a living through selling snacks.

Every purchase makes a difference
Radin is currently selling cookies and kerepek at PJ Night Carboot Sale from 6pm to midnight, hoping to attract more customers and earn enough to meet his basic needs.
Besides his RM550 house rent for November, he also needs to pay utility bills, buy daily meals, replenish his snack stocks and cover other living expenses. He hopes the public can support him by purchasing his products, sharing his post to reach more potential customers, or making a donation if they are able to.
For Radin, every sale helps him pay for daily necessities and keep his small business going. He emphasised that he is not asking for sympathy, but for the opportunity to earn an honest living through his own efforts.
Those who wish to support him can visit him at PJ Night Carboot Sale from 6pm to 12am or contact him via WhatsApp at 012-211 8379 to place an order or offer assistance.
