
Passengers on the Kelana Jaya LRT line should expect temporary service disruptions between August 9 and November 22, as Prasarana upgrades the line’s Automatic Train Control (ATC) system to the new SelTrac Generation 8.
The new system offers real-time data analytics, enhanced cybersecurity, and more stable communications – part of a long-term solution following the major disruption in November 2022.
Disruption Details
- The works are divided into three phases.
- During Phases 2 and 3, affected stations will open later at 9am (instead of 6am) on weekends and public holidays only.
Phase 1 (Completed)
- Date: Completed on July 19
- Scope: Focused on depot areas (no passenger disruption)
Phase 2 (KLCC to Gombak)

Phase 3 (Lembah Subang to Ampang Park)

Stations not involved in the testing will operate as usual.
Commuter Support
- Free shuttle buses and vans will be available to connect affected stations.
- Station staff, auxiliary police, and Prasarana Troopers will be on-site to guide and assist passengers.
