A tragic accident in Subang Jaya, Selangor unfolded today, where three men fell from a skylift in Subang Jaya, while carrying out maintenance work at an apartment building yesterday (16 March). The fatal fall has caused the death of 2 men, along with one of them suffering from injuries.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said that they received a call from a member of public about the incident around 3:50 pm on March 16. Officers from the USJ 8 police station and the police headquarters in Subang Jaya were dispatched to the scene immediately.

Falling from a skylift while performing maintenance work

Upon arrival, authorities found three men lying unconscious near the apartment entrance. Two men were declared dead on the spot due to severe head trauma and body injuries, while the third men was transported to Hospital Serdang for treatment.

The victims are aged between 38 to 46 years old and were working on the fifth floor using a skylift when the fall occurred.

Revealing insights on their investigations, district police chief mentioned that there was a heavy downpour when the fall happened. He also confirmed that no criminal elements have been identified so far, and the case has been classified as a sudden death report.

The bodies of the two deceased have been sent to the Forensic Department of Hospital Sultan Idris Shah for post-mortem examinations.
