The largest telecommunications provider in China, China Mobile, has officially entered the Malaysian market. With aggressive pricing strategies, the company is set to rival established players such as CelcomDigi and U Mobile.
China Mobile shakes up Malaysia’s telco scene

Operating under its international brand CMLink, China Mobile is now offering Malaysians a prepaid plan with a massive 200GB of data at just RM35 per month and 350GB for RM50 per month.
Maxis has partnered with China Mobile International to launch CMLink, the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) brand of China Mobile, in Malaysia. This is the first MVNO move by China Mobile International in Malaysia. The new service will be powered by Maxis’ award-winning 4G and 5G network. This ensures seamless voice and data experience for users.
One SIM card with multiple numbers
The new service offers users the benefits of one SIM card with multiple numbers (1CMN) and China-Malaysia data sharing. The new partnership was sealed at the 2025 China Mobile SEA Cooperation Conference held in Kuala Lumpur.

1. 40GB (RM25 per month)
- 40GB local data and supports hotspot sharing
- Unlimited Malaysia call
- Free local incoming calls and SMS in Malaysia
- Does not include roaming data, calls and SMS (can change to other main plan or purchase roaming add-ons to activate).
