A not-so simple GrabMart order has gone viral after a rider’s creative way of transporting a bulky item earned him the unexpected nickname “Chairman” among amused netizens.

A simple delivery that became a viral Malaysian moment

The incident, originally shared on Threads, shows how something as simple as delivering a plastic stool turned into a hilarious yet heartwarming moment that captured social media attention.
According to the post, the Grab rider was visibly surprised after receiving an order that included a plastic stool. He even messaged the customer, joking that it was his first time delivering such an unusual item.
The rider later shared a photo of how he transported the stool with securely balanced on his head while riding his motorcycle, sparking laughter across social media.
Citizens online were quick to react and even left hilarious comments under the post, such as saying that the rider had finally become the “Chairman” after all those years as a Grab rider.

The customer later shared in the comments that she had given the rider an additional tip after seeing his effort and creativity in completing the delivery.

Some netizens questioned why the customer did not use Lalamove or other logistics services better suited for bulky items. However, the customer clarified that the order was placed through GrabMart, which automatically assigns the delivery to available Grab riders.
In the comment section, a netizen shared a similar experience to the author, adding that based on their chat with the Grab rider, the orders are automatically allocated by Grab.

Another rider shared a rather unusual delivery experience, saying they once had to carry crickets that were only loosely secured on the side. By the time they reached the customer’s home, the crickets had scattered inside the bag, forcing them to pick each one up individually and place them into a plastic bag.
The rider added that it was especially frustrating when some of the crickets jumped out while being handled, leading to a chaotic chase under the hot sun.
