A simple conversation that went viral
A teacher shared his touching story on social media, regarding on one of his students who approached him after successfully scoring an A and jokingly asked to be treated to Tealive.
The student reportedly said:
“Teacher, I got an A. Can you buy me Tealive?”
Wanting to respond playfully, the teacher replied that he could only do so after receiving his salary.
However, the child’s innocent reaction immediately caught the teacher off guard.
“Eh? Aren’t teachers rich?”, asked the boy
The teacher then explained that he had only recently been posted to the school and that his salary was slightly delayed.
Concerned by the answer, the student continued asking whether the teacher had enough money to buy food for himself, to which he answered saying that he does.
A heartfelt surprise days later
To his surprise, a few days later, the student returned with money along with a heartfelt appreciation card that wrote, “To me, you are the best teacher in school.”
The child had reportedly remembered a conversation where the teacher mentioned not receiving his salary yet, and quietly offered the money so the teacher could buy some food and drinks.
The simple yet thoughtful gesture deeply moved the teacher, who admitted he was close to tears after receiving it.
