A man’s relaxing trip to Aquaria KLCC took an unexpected turn after he spotted a young boy getting dangerously close to a fish pool and ended up stepping in just in time.
According to a Threads post, the man was visiting Aquaria KLCC for the first time and was simply enjoying the exhibits when he noticed a young Indian boy running and climbing around near one of the pools.
Kid nearly falls into fish pool
At first, he thought the child was just being playful. That changed when the boy started climbing towards the water. The man said the child’s head and upper body had already gone into the water by the time he reacted.
Without thinking twice, he quickly grabbed the boy and pulled him away from the pool before anything more serious happened. Thankfully, the child was unharmed. The man later checked on him and was told by the family that the boy was fine.
But after the rescue, there was another unexpected problem, his shirt was left smelling like fish. “I came to Aquaria to see the fish, not to become part of the ecosystem,” he joked. He also quipped that he was just thankful the boy did not end up in the arapaima pool, while joking that the child, the parents and he himself had all “survived” the incident.
Parents urged to keep an eye on children
Despite the humorous ending, the man reminded parents to keep a close eye on young children when visiting public attractions. Kids can move quickly, and what looks like harmless playing can turn dangerous within seconds.
For him, the trip may have started with plans to look at the fish, but it ended with him becoming the person who had to make sure one little visitor did not become part of the exhibit.
