A disagreement between two young brothers over a baby stroller took a disturbing turn when their own parents were caught on CCTV physically lashing out at them inside a lift.

The footage, which has gone viral on Threads, shows the parents hitting one child, kicking the stroller and using it to push him around. The video has since triggered anger online, with many questioning why the children were being treated this way over such a minor argument.
In the clip, the family of four can first be seen waiting for a lift. The two brothers, one dressed in black and the other in a striped shirt, appear to argue over who gets to sit in the stroller. The boy in black eventually gets his way, seemingly frustrating their mother.
Parents’ actions caught on CCTV
However, the situation worsens after the family enters the lift. The mother is seen hitting the boy on the head, while the father later arrives carrying two pieces of luggage, kicks the stroller and scolds the child.
The mother then pulls the boy out of the stroller and throws him onto the floor before letting his brother take the seat. Despite other passengers entering the lift, the parents continue their aggressive behaviour, with the mother at one point pushing the stroller into the boy.

The identities of the parents and the exact location and date of the incident remain unknown.
Netizens call for investigation
Many netizens have called for the Social Welfare Department to step in and investigate, expressing concern for the children’s safety. Some pointed out that the incident appeared to show the parents losing their temper rather than dealing with a child’s argument.

“Kids throwing tantrums and fighting over things is completely normal. That’s just how children behave! The real problem is parents who can’t control their own tempers,” one netizen commented.

Another netizen expressed concern over what might happen behind closed doors, saying, “If they can treat their children like that in public, imagine what goes on at home when nobody is watching. This is just too much.”
