A student was left upset and hungry after her food delivery allegedly disappeared from her condominium mailroom, with CCTV footage later appearing to show a delivery rider taking the order.
The incident was shared by the student on Threads, where she claimed the rider had taken her meal after completing another customer’s delivery. The incident reportedly occurred at around 8.20pm on May 20, although the exact condominium location was not revealed.
CCTV footage allegedly shows rider taking food
Based on the CCTV footage posted online, the rider was seen entering the residence’s mailroom to drop off a separate food order. However, before leaving the area, he allegedly picked up another food package that had been left on the table, which the student claimed belonged to her.
As a result, she was left without dinner that night.
Student claims food theft happened before
In her post, the student alleged that missing food deliveries were not uncommon at her apartment and suspected the same individuals could be responsible for repeated thefts.
“Some students are really hungry and don’t have much money. They finally order food, only for it to be stolen,” she wrote.
She explained that she had been exhausted from studying and simply wanted a proper meal that evening. However, when she went downstairs to collect her food, it was no longer there.
“At that moment, I really felt like crying because I was so hungry,” she added.
Unable to lodge complaint
The student also claimed she could not file a proper complaint because the rider had allegedly failed to leave his personal details or motorcycle registration number at the guardhouse.
Her post has since triggered outrage among netizens, with many criticising the rider’s alleged behaviour and expressing sympathy for the student.
