Just last week, a father’s heart was broken as he learned that his son had been brutally murdered. The 30-year-old man, who was found dead in a double homicide on 11 September, had returned home just moments before the tragedy struck. The man returned home and casually told his father that he was stepping out, leaving his phone behind. Shortly after, the police arrived with the devastating news.

A grief-stricken father’s final memory
In his 60s, the father described his son as a kind and well-behaved person who had never caused any trouble.
“My child was kind and compassionate, he never made us angry. All my hopes were placed on him. I thought I would leave this world first, but now he has left before me.” he said, emotionally overwhelmed.

On the night of his death, the father had thought that his son was heading out to deliver goods to a customer, as he ran a mobile phone repair and sales shop in a nearby commercial center in Alor Setar.
The father, visibly devastated, sat on the roadside in disbelief at the scene in Taman Nona, Guar Chempedak, as investigators worked through the crime scene.
“He just said he was going out for a while, I never imagined it would end like this.”

Another found stabbed
The tragic discovery was made late at night when police arrived at the scene around 9:40 PM. The 30-year-old male victim from Guar Chempedak and a 28-year-old woman from Sungai Petani were found with multiple stab wounds.
Police investigation continues
The case, now under investigation, is being treated as a murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Authorities are still seeking the male suspect involved in the crime and are exploring the connection between the female victim and the suspect. The police have urged anyone with information to assist them as they work to bring justice to the victims.
