Malaysia’s Harimau Malaya have moved up two places to 136th in the latest FIFA World Rankings.

The national team now holds 1,086.22 points, climbing from 138th despite not playing a match during the recent international window. Instead, the improvement came largely due to ranking shifts involving other nations, including India and Latvia.
Edge closer to regional rivals
Among Southeast Asian countries, Thailand remains the region’s highest-ranked side in 94th place. Vietnam sits just outside the top 100 at 99th, followed by Indonesia in 118th. The Philippines occupy 135th spot, one place ahead of Malaysia, while Singapore are ranked 148th.
Meanwhile, Japan continue to lead the way in Asia, holding 18th place in the world rankings. Iran are next in 20th, with South Korea completing Asia’s top three in 25th position.
While the latest rise may be modest, it offers a positive boost for Harimau Malaya as the squad looks to build momentum and continue climbing the global rankings in the months ahead.
