mother of viral chicken bone content creator defends him after he was handcuffed and made to wear prison clothes

In an interview with China Press, Mdm. Wong, mother of 14-year-old “Luo Little Brother”, expressed dissatisfaction that after her child was summoned by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the police allegedly detained him, and even made him wear handcuffs and a prison uniform. “Luo Little Brother” was one of the three content creators who went viral for a collaboration video ‘giving chicken bones to a homeless man’.

She claimed that during this period, her child was subjected to unreasonable treatment.

Upon further inspection, the 14yo content creator has deactivated his account.

Mdm. Wong said that in response to MCMC’s summons, they brought her son to the Iskandar Puteri Police Station at around 10 a.m. on 5th August 2025, for investigation. At that time, the officials said they were only borrowing the premises for questioning. However, around 5 p.m. that same day, they were told that someone in the Seremban police district had lodged a report, and her child, along with the other two content creators involved in the case, had to be taken to Seremban.

She said that during this time, her son was made to wear a prison uniform, was detained in a holding cell together with unfamiliar suspects, and was even handcuffed. Her son was separated from the other two content creators and placed in a different holding cell.

“When my child was escorted to Seremban around 11 p.m. that night, he was finally told to take off the prison uniform and change back into his own clothes. Along the way, he was not allowed to sleep and was given neither food nor water.”

She stressed that her child is absolutely willing to face trial in court and that they will cooperate with the investigation results.

Mdm. Wong admitted that her child was wrong to film such videos and that they are willing to cooperate with investigations, but she does not understand how what was supposed to be an interview turned into her son being handcuffed and detained.

“I want to ask Deputy Minister of Communications Teo Nie Ching – does treating a minor in this way violate the Child Protection Act?”

However, when asked by reporters, Mdm. Wong revealed that they have not lodged a police report regarding this matter.

Content creators Aluk and “Luo Little Brother” apologised once more in the interview with China Press, expressing that they have learned their lesson and will not be so ignorant to create such insensitive content for engagement anymore.
