Ahmad Hamada Ayueman, a 29-year-old Malaysian, has placed his wife’s wellbeing above all else. When his wife, Siti Nuraifat Bueraheng, was diagnosed with stage four knee soft tissue sarcoma cancer, Ahmad began selling personal belongings, including his gold and a luxury car to cover her medical expenses, putting her survival above his own comfort and security.

What started as a minor injury from a motorcycle accident gradually revealed a more serious condition. According to Kosmo, early checks showed no major issues, and her symptoms were managed conservatively.
However, as her conditions worsened, further tests at public hospitals confirmed that a cancer diagnosis, profoundly changing the couple’s lives.
“Initially, the X-ray appeared fine. However, the swelling gradually worsened and became increasingly painful,” he stated.

Medical bills mounted quickly, covering surgeries, scans, hospital stays, and daily care. Determined not to fall into debt, Ahmad sold his belongings one by one. He even stepped away from his job to provide full-time care for Siti, watching over her as her strength and mobility gradually declined.
Turning to the community for support
Despite applying to several aid organizations, the couple has received no financial assistance. Ahmad believes Siti’s status as a foreign national may have limited their eligibility, even though their marriage is legally recognized.

Now, as a father of two, he has reached out to the public via social media, hoping for help, advice, or guidance. Through it all, his commitment remains unwavering, continuing to fight alongside his wife, every step of the way.
“I will keep going for Aifat as long as she is still breathing,” he said.
