Rising influence in Malaysian Squash
Her strong performance allowed her to surpass Japan’s Satomi Watanabe and Belgium’s Tinne Gills, marking her first entry into the world’s top six.
The achievement further strengthens Malaysia’s presence on the global squash circuit. Ajaz Azmat, the national coach believed that Sivasangari’s rise in the rankings will fuel her drive for success.
“Sivasangari is eager for more success, having performed consistently well in her last four tournaments. With focus and self-belief, it’s only a matter of time before she starts challenging top-five players,” the coach stated.
Meanwhile, Malaysian player Rachel Arnold also climbed to 19th in women’s rankings, while Ng Eain Yow holds steady at No. 12 in the men’s division.
