The Health Ministry has introduced a new feature on the MySejahtera app that allows Malaysians to report smoking and vaping offences directly through their phones.

Called MyLapor, the feature lets users file complaints against people caught smoking in any of the country’s 28 designated non-smoking areas, including restaurants, hospitals, airports and shopping complexes.

The public can also report cases involving underage individuals caught smoking or vaping, as part of the ministry’s efforts to curb smoking-related offences and protect public health.

Although some Malaysians may have deleted MySejahtera after the COVID-19 pandemic, the app could still come in handy for reporting such violations.
