A developer has announced plans to build around 3,500 apartment units in the area, spread out over two major phases. The goal? To create more accessible housing options for first-time buyers, particularly those in the lower and middle income groups.

The first phase will kick off with the construction of Residensi Madani, a 43-storey residential tower featuring 922 units. You may have heard of it by its old name, Residensi Wilayah, part of a government-backed initiative aimed at helping Malaysians own their first home through affordable housing schemes.
2nd phase will add on another 2,516 condo units
Once the first phase is complete, the second phase is expected to be even bigger, adding approximately 2,516 units across two massive 52-storey towers, bringing the total to a whopping 3,500 units.

This could be a game-changer for the local housing market, especially for young families and individuals looking to settle down in the KL area without breaking the bank. However, it has also sparked concerns online, with many comparing the project to the infamous Kowloon walled city in Hong Kong. A city that had over 30,000 to 50,000 people staying there.
