A shocking incident has emerged in Johor after a newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a parking area near Taman Universiti, Skudai, wrapped only in a thin green towel.

According to eyewitness accounts shared on social media, the baby was found naked in the uncovered parking lot area without adequate clothing or any other protective gear except the towel.
The case quickly spread online after a witness, identified as “Sha,” posted about the incident.
The witness described that although the conditions were not favourable, the baby appeared to be calm, having fallen sleep upon discovery.
Social media users expressed deep sadness and anger, questioning how a newborn could be left in such circumstances without care or supervision.
Authorities urged to investigate
Johor State Women, Family and Community Development Committee chairman Khairin-Nisa Ismail@Md On said that the baby girl is currently in stable condition and is under close supervision to ensure she receives proper care and protection.
The case is in investigations under Section 317 of the Penal Code. According to North Johor Police Chief Assistant Commissioner, upon conviction, those responsible may face a maximum penalty of seven years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both.
He further said that police are actively tracking down the individual(s) involved and urged members of the public with any information to come forward to assist investigations.
