In a recent post by Ping Min market, the community market that’s well loved by many has shared a statement announcing that they will be ceasing all operations immediately.

“It is with outmost regret that Ping Min Market and Ping Min Hub (PM & PH) has to cease all operations. It has come to our attention that a serious scheme of fraud has been committed within PM & PH that we are no longer able to operate”, it wrote.

Payment & invoice authorisation clarification

Clarifying further, it mentioned that both Ping Min Market and Ping Min Hub are proprietary brands which is solely and exclusively operated by Black Onion Production. All financial transactions should only be made to their company’s bank account.

“All financial transactions relating to Pingmin Market or Pingmin Hub including — but not limited to booth rentals, venue rentals, service charges, and any other payments — must be conducted exclusively with BLACK ONION PRODUCTION (M) SDN BHD.

Following the issue, the statement also mentioned that:

  • All invoices must be issued by BLACK ONION PRODUCTION (M) SDN BHD
  • All payments must be made to accounts registered under BLACK ONION PRODUCTION (M) SDN BHD
  • No other company, entity, or individual is authorized to collect payments on our behalf
  • No third party may issue invoices for our brands or services

Explicit prohibition of unauthorized representation

The statement also mentioned that they DID NOT authorise, permitted or appointed:

  • Any third-party company to act as our agent or representative
  • Any individual from our company to collect payments under our name or under a different company name
    • All payments must be banked in directly by you into the company’s official account.
    • We do not recognise any other form of payment. You have been duly notified.
  • No person (including directors and employees) is authorized to collect any payment on behalf of the company

Ping Min urges vendors to protect themselves & their business

Before making ANY payment:

  1. Confirm your agreement – Ensure that any agreement you sign is with BLACK ONION PRODUCTION (M) SDN BHD (1522961-P)
  2. Verify the recipient – Ensure all invoices are issued by BLACK ONION PRODUCTION (M) SDN BHD (1522961-P)
  3. Use official accounts only – Payments must go exclusively to our official bank accounts listed below
  4. Request written confirmation – If in doubt, contact them directly using official channels
  5. Report suspicious activity – Immediately notify them if anyone requests payment to unauthorized accounts

Any transaction conducted outside our official accounts will NOT be recognized as valid and will NOT be honored.
