If you’re a Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) recipient, you can now get free treatment at private clinics without any sign-ups or paperwork hassles.

Thanks to the Madani Medical Scheme under the Health Ministry, eligible Malaysians can simply walk into participating private clinics for free basic treatment and medication. This move aims to ease congestion at government clinics while ensuring you still get the care you need.

Free treatment for STR recipients, here’s how:

  • Just bring your MyKad to any participating clinic.
  • No registration needed.
  • Clinics will check your STR eligibility on their system.
  • Receive treatment and medication at no cost.

The scheme covers treatment for minor illnesses like fever, cough, flu, and minor follow-ups for chronic conditions, so you won’t have to wait long hours at government clinics for these services.

Currently, the Madani Medical Scheme has partnered with over 1,000 private clinics nationwide, and this number is expected to grow, making it easier for STR recipients to get access to healthcare wherever they are.

As of now, over 1,000 private clinics are participating.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad shared that this initiative is part of efforts to lighten the financial burden on the rakyat while improving healthcare accessibility for lower-income Malaysians. Coverage for STR recipients differs and here’s how much each group would receive:

  • RM250 for households with families
  • RM125 for senior citizens without a spouse
  • RM75 for individuals who are single

The allocations listed above are coverages for a year and will be renewed annually. As of now, there’s no news

So, if you or your family are STR recipients, you can now walk into your nearby participating private clinic whenever you feel unwell. No sign-ups, no fees, just care when you need it.
