Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was taken to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur at about 9.30am this morning (Jan 6) following a fall at his home.

Astro Awani confirmed the incident with the former prime minister’s aide, Suffi Yusoff.

“Yes, he was admitted to IJN after the fall and is currently undergoing thorough observation,” he said.

FMT reported that Tun Dr Mahathir was believed to have fallen while moving from the balcony to the living room.
