You can easily replace damaged MyKad at any National Registration Department (JPN) branch.

  1. Bring your damaged IC with you.
  2. Bring a utility bill as proof if you want to update your address.
  3. Dress neatly for a fresh photo to be taken on-site.
  4. Prepare RM10 to pay the change fee.

How long will it take to get a new MyKad

If you visit a branch equipped with printing machines, you could walk out with a new card in as little as 30 minutes. If you’re visiting a branch without a printing machine, expect the following processing times:

  • Peninsular Malaysia: Around 5 working days
  • Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan: Up to 7 working days

  • Monday to Friday: 8.00 AM – 4.45 PM
    (Lunch: 1.00 PM – 2.00 PM; Friday lunch: 12.15 PM – 2.45 PM)
