A student is believed to have been injured in a stabbing at a secondary school here this morning.

Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi confirmed that the incident took place but held back on details for now.

Banting school student allegedly stabbed by girl walking around school compound with knife

“I will issue a media statement later to confirm the details,” he said when contacted, adding only that the victim is currently in stable condition.

Beyond that, not much is confirmed yet as the identities of the victim and the suspect, along with the motive behind the attack, remain unclear.

What has been circulating, though, are several videos on social media showing a teenage girl dressed in black walking around the school compound while holding a knife. A caption accompanying the viral clip claims the incident happened at SMK Bandar Banting.

More details are expected once police release an official statement.

Prior to this, another stabbing case was reported last year, where the victim had suffered over 200 stabs by a 14-year-old boy. The victim unfortunately succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the scene. Following her death, many have questioned about the safety of schools and whether tighter protocols have been implemented.
