The National Higher Education Minister Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has taken another step forward in its digital transformation journey by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MyDigital ID Sdn Bhd, aimed at integrating the MyDigital ID digital identity into the myPTPTN application.

Datuk Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim, the chairperson of PTPTN said the collaboration is to enhance the operational efficiency and improve the user experience in accessing the PTPTN’s online services.

Simplifying access to education financing

She added that the initiatives allow users to manage the transactions conveniently, quickly, and securely, whether from home, campus, or anywhere.

“The move is aligned with the government’s aspirations under the National Digital Identity (NDID) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL), both of which serves as the foundation for public service delivery and supporting national digital economy growth,” she said.

A one-stop platform for PTPTN users

Norliza also highlighted that the myPTPTN supports PTPTN’s 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, which aims to strengthen the organization through digital empowerment. As of October 15, more than 2.8 million users have accessed PTPTN’s online services via the platform.

Users can now:

  • Apply for loans
  • Check loan balances
  • Make repayments
  • Open or top up their SSPN savings accounts

from the app, which is an advancement she believes will help PTPTN remain efficient and customer friendly.

Meanwhile, My Digital ID Chief Executive Officer Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim said the collaboration not only supports the nation’s digitalization agenda but also establishes a strong foundation for the digital innovation in the education sector.

He added that the partnership will strengthen public trust in digital transactions, further contributing to the Malaysia’s digital economic growth.
