three underage kids attempt buying alcohol

A local shop owner has shared a concerning encounter involving three young children, all believed to be under the age of 12, who reportedly tried to buy alcoholic beverages near midnight.

Ventured from Subang to Puchong as many shop owners refused selling them alcohol

According to the Facebook post by the shop owner, the children claimed to have travelled all the way from Subang to Puchong using a Grab ride. They said they had visited multiple shops before but were refused alcohol purchases due to their age.

The children ran away after the shop owner called the police

“When they came to our shop, they asked us to help them buy beer. We were shocked – they looked so young,” the shop owner said. “We wanted to keep them safe in the shop while waiting for the police, but they ran away before we could do anything.”

The shop owner expressed concern for the children’s wellbeing, urging members of the public to remain vigilant.

“If anyone happens to see them, please ensure they’re safe and immediately contact the police. I’m really worried for their safety,” the post read.

The shop owner clarified that no attempt was made to physically restrain the minors.
“I didn’t want to touch or stop them by force because they’re children. I just hope they’re found safe soon.”

Multiple comments wondered if the children were tasked by adults, namely their parents, to purchase the alcohol, but the shop owner mentioned that the kids have had alcohol before and were searching for more.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement, but the incident has sparked public concern on social media, with many calling for greater awareness and parental supervision to prevent such risky behaviour among minors.
