Dashcam footage from a vehicle in front reportedly captured the entire incident, which the woman’s grandson uploaded to Facebook. The driver could be seen first hitting the elderly woman, then proceeding to run over her twice with the front and back wheels of his vehicle.
After the collision, the driver attempted to escape but was briefly stopped when another vehicle (the dashcam owner) blocked his path. The driver allegedly exited the car, looked at the victim, returned to his vehicle, and fled the scene again without offering assistance.

The incident occurred between 8am and 9am as the woman, according to the grandson, frequented the market in the area daily, stood at a junction near the UTC Sentul market. She was allegedly hit by a red Honda bearing registration number VR 307, which sent her onto the road.
According to the post shared by her grandson, the driver did not stop after the collision and is alleged to have driven over the victim before fleeing the scene. The woman was left lying on the road with severe injuries and was bleeding heavily.
The grandson also wrote that no immediate police report was lodged at the scene, and no ambulance was called following the incident. The victim later died, with her family alleging that delays in receiving medical treatment contributed to the loss of her life.
The family said they are seeking justice for the deceased and urged anyone with information about the vehicle or driver to come forward.

Multiple fractures, internal bleeding, and head injuries
In an interview with Sin Chew Daily, the victim’s daughter said her mother sustained multiple fractures and internal bleeding at the scene, and was vomiting blood. She added that the driver only exited the car after another motorist intervened and forced him to stop.
“Our family is heartbroken by her sudden death. We had hoped she could enjoy life after overcoming cancer, but instead her life was taken by an irresponsible driver,” she said.
Reports say the victim succumbed to severe head injuries and was pronounced dead while being treated at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
Driver took a look at the elderly woman and chose to walk away

In the Facebook post, the grandchild wrote: “You did see her. You knew exactly what had happened… The moment you got back into your car and drove away, what you abandoned was not just responsibility, but someone’s chance to live.”
Police say driver was unable to avoid the collision
As reported by Malay Mail, Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said that preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of a Honda Odyssey was exiting a row of shoplots and making a right turn when a pedestrian crossed in front of the vehicle, leaving the driver unable to avoid the collision.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for causing death through reckless or dangerous driving.
Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact the nearest police station or the Tun H.S. Lee Traffic Police Station at 03-2071 9999.
