Important to note on STR 2026

  • STR 2026 is no longer available for single (unmarried) individuals.
  • MySTR applications are open starting 13 October 2025.
  • Even if an individual received STR 2025 or from previous years, they must still submit a new STR application for 2026.
  • STR applications that have not been updated for three consecutive years must be updated for the 2026 STR application.
  • Applicants may start logging into the account starting 15 October 2025.

How to apply for STR 2026?

1. Navigate to ‘New Application’ or ‘Permohonan Baharu’

2. Fill in the details as prompted: Your personal details and next of kin

Either upload documents online or submit the physical copy at LHDN office

If the applicant’s marital status is Married, please upload a copy of the marriage certificate or present the original and a copy at the nearest HASiL office within 7 days after the application is submitted for processing purposes.

If the applicant’s status is Divorced, please upload a copy of the divorce certificate or present the original and a copy at the nearest HASiL office within 7 days after the application is submitted for processing purposes.

If the applicant’s status is Widowed (Spouse Deceased), please upload a copy of the spouse’s death certificate or present the original and a copy at the nearest HASiL office within 7 days after the application is submitted for processing purposes.

Applicants who encounter difficulties applying online may visit any LHDN office to apply.

3. Confirm your submission

Ensure your details are accurate and fill in the captcha prompt. Click ‘Submit’.

How to log in to MySTR account?

Applicants may login to their MySTR account 15 October onwards at the button shown above.
