A 5-year-old girl who was killed in an alleged hit-and-run involving a BYD electric car had only recently been discharged from hospital after injuring herself in a toilet fall just a week earlier.

The girl, identified as Aisyah Ahmad Syahir, was remembered by her 25-year-old uncle, Mohamad Amin, as a cheerful child he had last seen on the day she was discharged.
Speaking to Utusan Malaysia, he said that was the last time he got to hug his niece, spend time with her and play with her.
“I last saw and hugged her on the day she was discharged. That was also the last time I could show her affection and play with her,” he said.
At the time of the accident, the girl’s father, Ahmad Syahir, 30, who serves as a mosque muezzin, was travelling home to Kampung Sungai Penchala with his wife and their two children. Muhammad Amin said his brother had taken the family out for a drive and a meal around Keramat before heading home to fulfil his duties at the mosque. However, tragedy struck along the way, claiming the life of his 5-year-old daughter.
Her 2-year-old brother survived the crash.
Family still traumatised by the tragedy
Mohamad Amin said the family was still struggling emotionally following the incident.

Fortunately, his brother, sister-in-law and their younger child escaped without serious injuries, suffering only bruises and minor wounds. However, their emotional distress has yet to subside.
The accident occurred at around 3pm on October 10 along Jalan Kuching, in the direction of Segambut, Kuala Lumpur.
