The letter contained the names of mass shooting perpetrators.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar has confirmed that a handwritten letter was found on the 14-year-old student suspected of stabbing and killing his 16-year-old schoolmate at a secondary school in Bandar Utama.

According to Shazeli, the note was discovered when the suspect was apprehended, not at the scene of the crime.

The letter by the stabbing suspect contained worrying content

“The letter was found on the suspect during his arrest, not in the toilet where the incident occurred. The note is currently being analysed by the investigating officer,”
he said during a press conference, as reported by the New Straits Times.

The letter contained names of school mass murderers such as Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold who were responsible over the Columbine High School mass shooting. The suspect also listed down several schools where mass shootings had occurred, such as Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook Elementary, and Uvalde Robb Elementary.

Other reports revealed that the note contained disturbing phrases, including “This world is fake. I have already won.”

The suspect called everyone else non-playable characters (NPC), which are game characters who have limited dialogues and actions that serve repetitive, minor roles in video games. This term is typically used in modern slang to describe real-life people who ″do not have a significant role in life″, or act in a ″generic, emotionless, following-the-script″ way.

In the letter, the suspect also confessed his love for the victim and said he will leave the world with her.

Police investigations also indicated that the suspect harboured feelings for the victim, though he never expressed them.

“So far, investigations have revealed that there was no prior relationship or interaction between the two students before the fatal incident,” said Shazeli during a press conference at the state police headquarters on October 15.

Shazeli added that the authorities have not yet confirmed the suspect’s mental health condition, but further psychological assessments will be carried out as the case develops.

Preliminary findings showed that the suspect used a multi-purpose knife purchased online to stab the victim multiple times in the chest and neck.

The suspect has been remanded for seven days until October 21, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
