A European traveller has praised the Malaysian airport for its thoughtful service after witnessing ground staff handling out umbrellas to passengers walking to their aircraft amid a rainstorm. The scene, captured in a series of photos and videos, has since drawn strong attention on social media for showcasing an unexpected level of care.

In the footage, ground staffs can be seen standing along the boarding route, distributing umbrellas one by one, guiding travellers down the ramp, and ensuring they remain sheltered while crossing the wet tarmac.
Staff members also assisted families and passengers carrying multiple bags, helping them stay dry as they made their way to the plane.

Visitor says gesture is uncommon in European airports
The tourist behind the viral post expressed genuine surprise at the courtesy shown by Malaysian airport staff, noting that such hands on assistance is not something she often encounters in Europe.
“At airports here, they actually pass out umbrellas when it rains. I’ve never seen this in Europe,” she stated, commending the staff for their considerate actions despite the challenging weather.
