In a shocking news yesterday, a 35-year-old woman suffered serious neck injuries after being allegedly stabbed by a man outside a restaurant along Jalan Titi Gajah last night.

Kota Setar district police chief ACP Syed Basri Syed Ali confirmed that the incident occurred at around 9:19 pm while the victim was seated in her Mazda car. The 32 year old suspect, who was in the front passenger seat, allegedly attacked the woman by stabbing her on the right side of her neck before fleeing the scene.
Victim sent to hospital immediately
“The victim was immediately taken to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital for medical attention and is currently reported to be in stable condition,” ACP Syed Basri said during a press conference.
Authorities believe the victim and the suspect were acquainted, as both work as real estate agents and were in the same vehicle at the time of the incident.
Investigations ongoing
“The motive behind the stabbing is still under investigation,” he added. “The case is being handled under Section 326 of the Penal Code, and we are also attempting to trace the weapon used in the attack.”
Stabbing cases in Malaysia appear to be on the rise, and while most incidents are believed to be isolated and unrelated, the growing number of such cases has understandably left many feeling concerned. Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious and stay aware of their surroundings.
Police have also appealed to the public to provide any information that could lead to the suspect’s capture and urged the individual to surrender to authorities.
