Malaysians will be paying more at the pump again this week after the Ministry of Finance announced fresh increases for RON97, unsubsidised RON95, and diesel prices for the period of May 21 to May 27.
Fuel prices spike again

According to The Ministry of Finance (MOF):
- RON97 increases by RM0.15 to RM4.85 per litre
- Unsubsidized RON95 rises by RM0.20 to RM4.07 per litre
- Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia goes up RM0.10 to RM4.97 per litre
Meanwhile, diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
The sharpest increase this round comes from unsubsidised RON95, which surged by RM0.20 in just one week, crossing the RM4 mark once again.
The Finance Ministry said the adjustments were made according to the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), which tracks global oil market movements and average fuel prices.
MOF also said that brent crude oil prices have surged to around USD110 per barrel, marking an increase of nearly 60% from the pre-conflict level of approximately USD70 per barrel.
