Touch ‘n Go Digital has confirmed a major change that will affect thousands of eWallet users in Malaysia with the discontinuation of debit card auto-reload and quick payment features.
Major change coming to Touch ‘n Go eWallet users

Starting 13 May 2026, users will no longer be able to use debit cards for auto-reload functions or quick payments through saved debit cards on their TNG eWallet accounts.
According to the official statement, the feature had already been placed under maintenance as part of an ongoing review of transaction performance and system reliability.
After completing the review, TNG Digital has decided to permanently discontinue support for debit card-based Quick Payment and Auto Reload, in order to provide a more stable and reliable payment experience for users.
Alternative options for users
To avoid disruptions, users who previously relied on automatic top-ups are advised to switch to alternative top-up methods available in the app:
- Manual debit card reload
- Credit card reload (subject to convenience fees)
- DuitNow transfer
- Reload PIN method

However, users should note that credit card reloads may come with a processing fee, depending on the card issuer.
- 1% convenience fee of the reload amount for all credit card reloads using a credit card issued by Malaysian banks.
- 2.6% convenience fee of the reload amount for credit or debit card issued by a non-Malaysian bank.
