The incident took place on May 2, 2026, during the festival’s final night in Bukit Bintang. According to the viral post, the woman aged 28 years old was seen carrying a knife among the crowds of thousands.
Panic broke out as nearby attendees feared she might attack them. Several brave festivalgoers and security personnel stepped in to restrain her and she was eventually pinned down and arrested by police on-site.
Brother’s claims spark debate on mental health response

As videos of the incident spread across social media, a post allegedly written by the woman’s brother began circulating, adding a disturbing layer to the story.
In the post:
- He said he had sent her to a hospital in Shah Alam weeks ago.
- Doctors allegedly said she was “fine” and discharged her.
- He warned something bad would happen if she wasn’t properly treated.
- Also, he added that she had refused medications for years.

The brother insisted the family had done everything they could and said public healthcare services refused to take her in. Still, many netizens were unconvinced, with some arguing that the burden of responsibility should not be shifted away from the family.
