Two gold shops in Klang and Kuantan were targeted in separate robbery incidents, with suspects in both cases fleeing on motorcycles.

While the incidents occurred at different locations and involved different suspects, both cases saw gold shops being targeted during business hours.
Klang gold shop attack
In Klang, police are hunting for several suspects following an attempted robbery at a gold shop along Jalan Tengku Kelana yesterday morning.
Klang Selatan district deputy police chief Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah confirmed that the incident occurred at around 10.30am.
A video circulating on social media showed several individuals armed with hammers entering the gold shop and smashing the display glass in an apparent attempt to steal jewellery.
However, the suspects reportedly failed to complete the robbery and fled the scene on motorcycles.
The incident is also believed to have resulted in injuries to an individual and involved the use of firearms.
Police have opened an investigation under Section 394 of the Penal Code for causing hurt during an attempted gang robbery, as well as Section 4 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971 for displaying firearms while attempting to commit robbery.
Kuantan gold shop robbed by four masked men
Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Taman Pandan Damai, Kuantan, a gold shop operated by a Malay couple was reportedly robbed by four masked men armed with parang.
The robbery took place at around 2pm along Lorong Pandan Damai 2/2, at a row of shops behind a supermarket.
According to nearby business operators, the male shop owner had left for Friday prayers and had yet to return when the robbery happened. Only the female owner and two other women were inside the shop at the time. The shop’s glass door was also locked.
The four suspects reportedly arrived on two motorcycles before using tools to force open the shop door. They then entered the premises while armed with parang and grabbed gold jewellery.
The robbery reportedly happened quickly.
Nearby traders later heard the female shop owner shouting for help after the suspects had fled.

Witnesses said the four men were seen riding away on two motorcycles, seemingly without appearing to be in a hurry. Their escape was also reportedly captured on mobile phone footage by members of the public.
No one was injured
Fortunately, the female shop owner and the two other women inside the premises were not injured.
The amount of gold jewellery stolen and the total losses have yet to be confirmed.
Kuantan police arrived at the scene at around 3pm and began collecting evidence from inside and outside the premises.
Police are still investigating the case and working to identify and locate the four suspects.
Anyone with information regarding either case is urged to contact the relevant police authorities.
